On Saturday, November 7th, the Wheaton North Speech Team hosted its annual Technicolor Tournament, and over 200 speech members from over 10 different schools participated. This particular tournament was one to remember because it marked the 30th anniversary of Wheaton North’s annual tournament! The event kicked off at 8:00 a.m. when the sleepy, but well-dressed competitors competed in the first of three rounds of rigorous competition; some were more prepared than others. The team from Wheaton North definitely had a home-field advantage, as there were numerous participants who placed as well as three grand champions in three separate events! In radio speaking, sophomore Leoni Reilly, won 1st place up against many varsity members who have been on the speech team for four years! Deven Rea was crowned impromptu speaking champion, as well as senior Daniel Dravet taking 1st place in Original Comedy. Way to go, Speech Falcons. Keep up the good work!
